CT          HB 6017         AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF WILD ANIMALS IN CIRCUSES AND TRAVELING SHOWS.

BAN ON IMPORT AND POSSESSION OF ANIMAL PARTS AND PRODUCTS

The main concern is the effect on live animals and whether they are properly defined and written.  Below are ones of concern.

CT          HB 5024         An Act Restricted the Use of Exotic and Wild Animals in Circuses and Traveling Performances                

NY          A 839        Relates to prohibitions on circus performances      

NY         S 438       Prohibits the possession and transport of certain animals and body parts thereof at airports and port facilities owned or operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

MI    HB 4594          Crimes; animals; ownership, possession, breeding, sale, and importing of nonhuman primates; prohibit with certain exceptions and provide penalty.

MS      SB 2515       Wildlife Trafficking Prevention Act; enact.

KS        HB 2397          Amending the definition of dangerous regulated animal and restricting proximity of such animals to members of the public.  (Adds pure wolves and nonhuman primates to dangerous regulated animal ban)
