The following is a list of bills and rules that have been introduced or will be introduced. This list is not all inclusive. The bills pertain to the ownership of exotic and wild animals for the 2022 Legislative Session. It is updated as of 5/9/22.
Requires Department to create a list by 12/31/2022 of wildlife and fish that may not be imported or transported within the state, which must include ALL bats, rodents and primates
Bans ownership of all nonhuman primates along with public contact.
Bans allowing member of the public from coming into direct contact with bear, lion, tiger, leopard, snow leopard, jaguar, mountain lion, and hybrids AND allowing to enter into proximity that allows direct contact
